Tilo Wendler
Professor Dr. Wendler studied mathematics, physics and information technology and awarded his Ph.D. from the University Klagenfurt. Prior to his professorship he was responsible for data analyses processes in the banking sector with specific focus on rating methodologies and risk management. Based on his expert knowledge in consolidating, managing as well as analysing data, Professor Wendler provides practical relevant and theoretically proofed knowledge to this book.
Sören Gröttrup
Prof. Dr. Sören Gröttrup studied mathematics and computer science with focus on probability theory and statistics. He got his Ph.D. from the Univerity of Münster for his research on stochastical population models, describing the behavior of parasite invected cells. Parallel to his doctoral studies, he worked in the area of leukemia research as a data analyst on genomic data sets at the Institute of Medical Informatics at the University Hospital Münster. For many years, he worked as a data scientist in the airline and data-driven marketing sector, and consulted companies in digitalization and machine learning projects. Today, he is a professor for machine learning and statistics at the Technical University of Ingolstadt.
